Hummingbird Project

Empowering Communities Through Ecological Regeneration

The Hummingbird Project operates a number of domestic and global initiatives to promote and educate communities about ecological regeneration and sustainable practices. In Ohio, our Cleveland Seed Bank program develops a regional alliance of seed savers dedicated to the creation of a locally adapted, non-GMO seed supply. In India, our Living Soils Save Lives program provides education about organic methods of soil regeneration, irrigation, and compost systems. In Kenya, our Sustainable Schools program teaches students about regional sustainability relating to water, energy, and waste management. By reconnecting people to the natural world, our initiatives seek to create community resilience and positive social change.
