Institute For Nonviolence Chicago

Ending Violence And Building Peace In Chicago Through Rev. Dr. King’s Principles And Practices Of Nonviolence

Our mission is to end the cycles of violence in Chicago by making Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s principles, practices, and teachings of nonviolence a part of our daily lives. The Institute For Nonviolence Chicago provides conflict mediation, victim advocacy and victim support services, nonviolence training, community organizing, workforce development, and case management, including assistance with returning to the community after incarceration. These methods help us work to reduce shootings, guide people involved in violence through their journey away from it, empower and nurture communities in the aftermath of violence, and mediate positive interactions between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Love is our weapon of choice.
