Raising Awareness And Providing Grants For Music Education In K-12 Public Schools
The mission of Give A Note Foundation (GAN) is to engage and empower educators, inspire students, and expand the reach and impact of music education in public schools. GAN was created to bring awareness about the importance of music and to nurture, grow, and strengthen music education opportunities – for every student, every school, and every community. In addition to awareness initiatives, GAN provides grants to public school music programs led by creative music educators utilizing innovative and sustainable strategies that attract students not typically enrolled in music education courses, in efforts to increase access to music education through diversity in curriculum and approach. Since its founding, GAN has impacted nearly 100,000 students through more than $1.4 million invested in music programs at over 275 schools in historically marginalized communities.
