The mission of North Lawndale Employment Network (NLEN) is to increase the earnings potential of under- and unemployed North Lawndale residents through innovative employment initiatives that lead to economic advancement and an improved quality of life. NLEN assists people who face significant barriers to employment, including returning citizens and people with felony records. NLEN’s programs include job readiness training, financial education classes, anger management, resume preparation, and full-time transitional employment at its all-natural skin care products company. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to work and a chance to make a U-turn in their lives. More importantly, we also believe that our community flourishes when good jobs give residents both paychecks and self-worth.
