Building Job Skills And Confidence Through Project-Based Programs For Chicago Teens

After School Matters (ASM) provides hands-on, project-based opportunities to Chicago public high school teens to explore and develop their talents while gaining critical skills for work, college, and beyond. Through over 700 programs annually, teens work with skilled professionals and community-based organizations to develop job skills, increase confidence, and build workplace values like excellence, leadership, teamwork, respect, commitment, and innovation. Founded by former Chicago First Lady Maggie Daley, ASM has served more than 350,000 teens by offering innovative out-of-school programming in arts, science, sports, technology, and communications.
