Indomitable Women 4 Agape Life (IW4AL) provides support and services to the homeless and those at risk of homelessness in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. From delivering home-cooked meals, clothes, and toiletries to area shelters to distributing coats, hats, and gloves to homeless people in local parks and metro stations to handing out backpacks to homeless students, IW4AL aims to support and promote the personal growth of people facing homelessness. The 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization also provides rent and utility assistance to individuals who are leaving homelessness, employment readiness programs, life skills coaching, and HIV testing. IW4AL was founded by Cheryl Houston, who simply asked a few close friends if they were ready to do better and help others in need.
