Last Prisoner Project
Cannabis-Related Criminal Justice Reform
The Last Prisoner Project (LPP) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to cannabis-related criminal justice reform. Our team of cannabis industry leaders, social justice advocates, and policy and education experts are committed to freeing all 40,000 people in prison for cannabis offenses that are now legal in most states. Through our direct service programs, including executive clemency and pro bono legal services, we work to secure freedom. Through our scholarships and mentorship, we provide personal and professional development training to help secure employment for formerly incarcerated individuals. Through our research, evidence-based policy recommendations, and work with governmental leaders, we develop and advance equitable and effective reforms in drug policy, policing, and criminal justice.
