Live Today Foundation

Providing Inspiration, Joy And Free Compression Garments To Breast Cancer Survivors With Lymphedema

Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for people affected by breast cancer and lymphedema, by meeting their related physical, financial, and psychosocial needs. The Live Today Foundation provides – for free – compression garments that are medically effective, stylish, and comfortable to people who cannot afford them. Lymphedema is a painful swelling that can occur in someone’s arms and legs as a result of damage to the lymphatic system during cancer treatments. Compression garments are the most effective treatment for managing lymphedema symptoms. Founded by a physician who lost her job after battling breast cancer and developing lymphedema, the Live Today Foundation seeks to restore body-image confidence and self-esteem in breast cancer survivors (finished treatment), metavivors (cancer spread to vital organs), and previvors (predisposed to a cancer diagnosis) with lymphedema.
