Funding Clinical Trials To Find More Effective Treatments For Pediatric Cancer

The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation is dedicated to funding research and clinical trials to find less toxic, more effective treatments for childhood cancer. We created a collaborative research network with top oncologists, researchers, and hospitals across the country to improve outcomes for pediatric cancer. Our purpose is to reduce the side effects of current treatments, improve survival rates, and ultimately eliminate childhood cancer. Melissa Helms and Risa Tramel founded the organization after meeting at the hospital while their infant daughters were undergoing cancer treatments. Both of their daughters survived and are now healthy young adults, but the two mothers were inspired to continue fighting pediatric cancer to help other children.
