ALS United Greater Chicago
Care, Advocacy, And Research To Fight ALS
ALS United Greater Chicago serves persons living with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and their families. ALS is an always fatal, degenerative neuromuscular disease with a life expectancy of two to five years. We provide care services, advocate at the local and national levels, and invest in cutting-edge research around the world to find treatments and a cure to end ALS. ALS United Greater Chicago was founded by Martha Kucharski in memory of her late husband, who was an avid baseball player in his younger years and whose lifelong hero was, ironically, Lou Gehrig.
