ArmorUp for Life (AFL) is dedicated to improving patient outcomes by giving people, especially those in underserved communities, the real-world tools, resources, and support they need to survive and thrive before, during, and after a cancer diagnosis. AFL trains survivors in cities across America to become Survive & Thrive Ambassadors and provide essential support to other survivors and their families in their local communities. AFL was founded by Emmy Award-winning journalist Loriana Hernandez-Aldama after her personal battle with AML Leukemia revealed a healthcare system filled with voids and disparities. She launched ArmorUp for Life to spread the word about simple lifestyle changes that can reduce deadly risk factors and literally save your life.
