Providing Recycled Materials To Promote Creative Reuse, Education, And Sustainability In Detroit
Arts & Scraps uses recycled industrial materials to help people of all ages and abilities to think, create, and learn. By integrating STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and creativity into our workshops for students, educators and parents, our instructors help make learning fun through team building, sustainability, and creativity. Our Detroit Community Store offers recycled materials (yarn, fabric, wood, tiles, industrial scrap, etc.) at a low cost for educators, artists, and families. Our inventory is composed of donated materials from over 200 Metro Detroit businesses and individuals in the community. We provide these items to more than 275,000 people every year.
