Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation
Providing Joy For Kids With Cancer And Funds For Pediatric Cancer Scientific Research
The mission of Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation is to eliminate pediatric cancer and to provide hope and support to those who are touched by it. Our mission is carried out through two programs. The “Bear Hugs Program” provides customized experiences to brighten the lives of pediatric cancer patients and immediate family support for financial burden and essential needs. The “Bear Discoveries Program” funds grants for medical research to find therapies and cures for pediatric cancers. Kathleen Casey founded the 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in memory of her son Barrett “Bear” Krupa, who died at eight years old of cancer.
