Financial Assistance And Support For Families Impacted By Cancer
On June 23, 2020, we lost Erik "Big Tree" Knapp suddenly to glioblastoma brain cancer. In his honor, we established the Big Tree Memorial Fund (BTMF) to provide financial assistance and support to families dealing with the sudden loss of a loved one due to cancer. In 2023, BTMF expanded with the Little Oak Project, which gives money and access to resources to families with a child battling cancer. We raise funds by hosting the annual Big Tree Golf Invitational in Maryland and other fundraisers. Since 2020, we've donated over $250,000 to families, with each family receiving an average of $15,000+.
