We do this by transforming houses into community hubs where children and families have what they need to thrive. Born in Detroit, our model serves families across more than 25 neighborhoods in Detroit and Pontiac, MI, and in Philadelphia, PA. Each hub has unique offerings tailored to its community, such as tutoring sessions, exercise and nutrition classes, financial literacy programs, parent leadership and support groups, community gardens, etc. Founded to provide a radically new approach to kindergarten readiness in high-need neighborhoods, Brilliant Cities works to ensure that a zip code does not predict a child’s future.
