Chicago Lights
Dynamic Youth Development Programs And Adult Social Services
Chicago Lights builds brighter futures for Chicago’s youth and adults living in under-resourced neighborhoods through supportive relationships and life-changing programs. Our youth programs include one-to-one mentoring; summer academic, arts, and enrichment activities; a dance academy; and an urban farm that provides hands-on learning experiences, access to fresh food, and workforce development programs. Our social services for adults include a food pantry, clothing shop, and case management to encourage self-development, enrichment, and achievement of personal goals. Originally founded by Fourth Presbyterian Church as a tutoring program for children in the former Cabrini-Green neighborhood, Chicago Lights now reaches more than 4,000 individuals every year and has served more than 50,000 people.
