Research, Education, And Community Care For Hearing Loss And Balance Disorders
The Ear Research Foundation’s mission is to help individuals with hearing loss and balance disorders through research and development, education, and community care. The Foundation's research continues advancements in the microsurgery of the ear, tests of new drugs and therapies for hearing loss and balance disorders, and developments in understanding otologic disease processes. The Foundation’s educational initiatives include annual professional symposia, conferences, and public lectures covering a variety of common and unusual ear conditions, as well as a one-year, post-residency, fellowship training program in Otology. The Foundation provides community care by offering hearing screenings, hearing aids, surgical reconstructions, and implants to financially eligible candidates so that low-income children and individuals can gain the treatment they need.
