Epilepsy Foundation Of Greater Chicago
Free Programs And Support Services To People Living With Epilepsy
One in 26 people in the United States will develop epilepsy at some point in their lifetime. The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago (EFGC) offers counseling, advocacy, and educational services to people with epilepsy, their families, and the communities in which they live. Our mission is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. EFGC provides free programs and services including a summer camp for children living with epilepsy, one-on-one case management, support groups, first aid training for seizures, family outings, and an epilepsy clinic. Serving the more than 140,000 people living with epilepsy in the Chicagoland area, EFGC strives to help people live their everyday lives while overcoming the many challenges of this neurological condition.
