Friends Of The Truman Foundation
Graduate School Scholarships, Mentorship, And Government Service Opportunities For Students Pursuing A Path In Public Service
The Friends of the Truman Foundation raises donations and awareness for the scholarships, operations, and activities of the Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation. Along with providing $30,000 scholarships for graduate school, the Foundation provides career mentorship, internship placement, fellowship opportunities, leadership training, and participation within a diverse community of fellow Scholars. The Foundation recognizes approximately 60 United States college students each year on the basis of four criteria: a record of campus and community service, steadfast commitment to a career in public service, a well-articulated vision of how to create change in their area of interest, and an academic record likely to lead to acceptance in the graduate program of the student’s choice. While there is no one-size-fits-all for a Truman Scholar, the core commitment remains the same: a path in public service.
