Gweneviere Mann Foundation
Funding Research For Early Detection Of Lung Cancer
The Gweneviere Mann Foundation (GMF) was created to honor the memory of Gweneviere Mann, an accomplished musician, writer, and marathon runner who overcame a brain tumor only to ten years later lose a battle with a rare form of lung cancer. Throughout her life, Gweneviere was committed to learning and growing as an artist and athlete — and always thriving. With the mission of helping more people thrive in life like Gweneviere did, GMF awards grants to researchers who show promising work in next-generation technology for the early detection of lung cancer. GMF was founded by Gweneviere’s husband, Yasir Salem, who cared for her during her illnesses and who continues to run marathons in her memory.
