Huff Project
Raising Awareness And Funds To Find A Cure For Lung Cancer
The Huff Project’s mission is to raise awareness and research funds for lung cancer that ultimately help to increase survival. Since its inception, the nonprofit has given more than $300,000 for lung cancer research, helping to fund early detection diagnostics, vaccines, a lung cancer educational tool, clinical trials, and various other lung cancer-related initiatives. A former professional baseball player who never smoked, Stephen Huff and his wife Emily founded The Huff Project after he was diagnosed with inoperable, stage four lung cancer at twenty-nine years old. They hope to erase the stigma affiliated with lung cancer and support other lung cancer patients now and in the future.
