Worldwide Collaborative Research To End Inflammatory Breast Cancer
The Inflammatory Breast Cancer International Consortium (IBC-IC) gathers researchers, clinicians, healthcare centers and advocates around the world to share research, information and education about inflammatory breast cancer (IBC). The IBC-IC is focused on collaborating and advancing research that will not only lead to the best outcomes and cures for IBC throughout the world, but also improved screening, early detection and treatment options. IBC is a unique and very aggressive disease, accounting for one to five percent of all breast cancers diagnosed in the United States. It is frequently misdiagnosed and underreported – which is why worldwide collaborative research is so critical to ending IBC.
