Environmental Field Study Programs In The Bahamas And Beyond
International Field Studies is an educational and scientific nonprofit organization that provides environmental education, scientific research, and cultural awareness through experiential learning. IFS was established to promote and assist educators with on-site, field study programs. At our Forfar Field Station in the Bahamas, we provide guided field excursions, snorkeling and scuba diving, academic lectures, and general assistance for specific trip needs to students, scientific researchers, and special-interest organizations. Most field studies focus on marine science, geology, botany, climate change, among many other areas of interest. Since its founding in 1970, IFS has provided programs to more than 50,000 people.
