Israel Guide Dog Center For The Blind
Guide Dogs For The Blind In Israel
The mission of the Israel Guide Dog Center For The Blind is to improve the quality of life of visually impaired Israelis by providing them with independence, mobility, self-confidence, and companionship through the use of guide dogs. We breed, raise, and train the guide dogs at our facility just south of Tel Aviv in Israel. When blind Israelis request our assistance, we transport them to our center, house and feed them for three weeks during training, and provide an additional week of training in their homes. In addition, we provide trained PTSD Service Dogs to soldiers who have suffered severe trauma, and we provide Emotional Support Dogs to blind children, autistic children, or other adults with a variety of special needs. This is all done at no cost to the blind person.
