Reuniting Immigrant Families, Building Coalitions, And Responding To Community Needs
Based in a southwest-side neighborhood of Chicago, Latinos Progresando (LP) delivers high-quality information and resources for people to build secure, healthy, and productive lives. LP provides Latino-led, family-based immigration legal services to thousands of people, including immigrant victims of domestic violence, from more than forty countries. LP also leads the Marshall Square Resource Network, a neighborhood collective of more than forty-five local organizations that advance integrated solutions in health, education, and peace. LP further supports community families through a youth-focused theater program, a scholarship fund, parent leadership development, and an annual summer camp featuring sports, science, and arts. Founded by a son of Mexican immigrants, LP has more than fifteen staff members and assists people at some of the most critical points in their lives.
