Preventing Human Trafficking By Providing Protection, Education, And Economic Development In War Zones
Lift Up the Vulnerable (LUV) prevents trafficking and oppression of vulnerable children and women in war zones and empowers them to be changemakers in their communities. In conflict areas such as Sudan and South Sudan, which are marked by violence and extreme poverty, the most vulnerable are kidnapped as child soldiers, sold as sex slaves, and trapped in forced labor. LUV provides protection through safe housing, nutritious meals, and clean water, as well as preventative and emergency medical care. We provide education through Christ-centered schools, university scholarships and vocational training, and inspirational mentorship. We provide a path towards economic development by supporting large-scale farming, small business income generation, and savings groups to create economic independence. Our holistic model seeks to eliminate the exploitation of vulnerabilities, provide freedom, and restore hope. We envision a world where vulnerable children and women are empowered and, through them, war-torn nations are transformed.
