Building Equitable Communities That Alleviate Poverty Through Food, Shelter, And Housing
Our mission is to address the immediate needs of people in crisis, provide long-term housing and economic solutions for households served, and create systemic change in affordable housing gaps throughout Oakland County. We address the immediate, emergency needs of community members by quickly providing housing, over-the-phone crisis resolution and referrals, and drop-in centers in Pontiac and Clarkston for people needing help. Our longer-term programs include transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, in-home case management, and affordable housing development. Addressing systemic housing disparities, we have the goal of developing high-quality affordable housing in communities for families to thrive and be lifted out of poverty. Overall, our service approach is to provide immediate access to emergency services including food and shelter, while also focusing on long-term housing solutions and ongoing supportive case management services.
