Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse
Community-Based Day Program To Empower People With Brain Injury Or Stroke
Midwest Brain Injury Clubhouse (MBIC) is a community-based day program for persons with brain injury or stroke. The clubhouse model is based on rehabilitation through engagement, work, and purpose. Members, staff, and volunteers work together to successfully run and operate the clubhouse by handling daily maintenance, kitchen duties, community activities, among others. One of more than twenty clubhouses worldwide, MBIC builds vocational skills that ultimately increase members’ self-esteem and confidence in their abilities to interact socially and contribute productively to the community.
