Preparing Low-Income, Motivated High School Students For Success In College And Beyond
Minds Matter Bay Area (MMBay) is an education nonprofit that transforms the lives of low-income high school students with demonstrated motivation by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success. Our students are paired with two mentors who support them for all three years in the program. They participate in a rich set of programs including weekly mentoring sessions, academic summer programs, SAT and ACT preparation, writing and public speaking development, and college application support. Founded in 2010, 100 percent of our alumni have been accepted to four-year colleges, and 97 percent are on track to graduate from college in four years. MMBay is a chapter of the national Minds Matter organization.
