Providing Restorative Justice Programs, Back-To-School Events, And A Community Garden For Bronzeville Youth And Community
New Community Outreach is a community-based, restorative justice organization committed to Bronzeville’s youth and community. We collaborate with residents and organizations on the South Side of Chicago to provide restorative justice programs, back-to-school events, community garden engagement, and community-identified opportunities. Our flagship program invites students to process their feelings, experiences, and circumstances in a designated, consistent safe space, addressing trauma of all kinds. It intentionally builds students’ toolbox of mindfulness, healthy coping skills, and opportunities to flourish by tapping into their strengths. We also provide and manage a community garden, and we distribute fresh produce to our greater Bronzeville neighbors. At New Community Outreach, we are committed to cultivating restorative and safe spaces to heal, reconcile, and flourish as a community of Bronzeville.
