Open Heart Magic inspires anxious kids dealing with difficult illness, unexpected hospital stays, and frightening medical situations, to sit up, laugh, and face their situation with courage through a personal bedside magic interaction. Every time a medical professional walks into a child’s hospital room, the child expects to be poked, scanned, drugged, or receive more bad news. This fear can cause kids to lose energy, hope, and ultimately withdraw from their treatment and families. Our certified volunteers visit young patients and perform magic shows that bring smiles, laughs, and positivity. Because we believe that laughter is the best medicine to help sick kids get their magic back.
