Peer Support For Kids Through And Beyond Their Parents’ Cancer
One in twenty kids will experience a parent’s cancer diagnosis before they graduate high school. At Pickles Group, we know that having a parent or caregiver with cancer can be a lonely, isolating experience. That's why our mission is to provide free peer-to-peer support and resources to kids affected by their parent's cancer. Pickles kids strengthen resilience, have fun with friends who understand them, and heal along the way. How do we do it? Through play and art-based activities, outings, and family-friendly resources designed by a leading family therapist and informed by the lived experience of kids, families, and healthcare professionals.
