Providing Financial Assistance And Fresh Food Baskets To Cancer Patients In Maine
The Purple Iris Foundation raises awareness, provides support, and gives hope to individuals and families affected by cancer, in Maine. Purple Iris provides up to $500 per month and a fresh food basket to Maine residents who are battling cancer. The nonprofit also plants purple iris bulbs in the community to raise awareness about pancreatic cancer. As a fourteen-year survivor of pancreatic cancer who was once told she had six months to live, Christina Parrish sees herself as living proof of hope and founded Purple Iris to share that hope with others in their cancer journey.
