Rescuing Leftover Cuisine
Providing Excess Food To People Facing Food Insecurity
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine (RLC) uses modern and innovative solutions that, to date, have rescued over 20 million pounds of food that have fed people, not landfills. RLC engages community members to bring excess food from businesses to people who need it in their communities. Led by a dedicated group of leaders called Lead Rescuers, volunteers take unsold products that vendors would otherwise throw out at the end of the day and deliver them to local nonprofit organizations. Based in New York City, RLC has hubs across the country.
