Providing Summer Camp Scholarships For Children From Low-Income Families
Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education (SCOPE) provides children from low-income families and under-resourced communities access to attend nonprofit, overnight summer camps accredited by the American Camp Association, at no cost to the family. Through generous donations, sponsorships, and fundraisers, SCOPE raises money for summer camp scholarships. These “camperships” are distributed to over 50 summer camps across the country. With more than 26,000 “camperships” provided, thousands of campers have been able to experience the social, emotional, and character-building benefits of summer camp and help to close the opportunity gap for ALL children.
