Providing Summer Camp & College Scholarships For Children From Under-Resourced Communities
Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education (SCOPE) is a national nonprofit that provides children and teens from under-resourced communities with access to life-changing overnight summer camp experiences and college scholarships, creating pathways to opportunity through Camp, Classroom, College, and Career. Through the generosity of individual donors, corporate partners, foundations, and fundraising events, SCOPE funds summer camp scholarships, or "camperships,” for children who commit to staying in school. Since its founding in 1991, SCOPE has provided more than 30,000 camperships through its network of 81 nonprofit, overnight partner camps across the United States, helping young people build confidence, resilience, friendships, and skills that extend far beyond the summer months. Together, we are expanding access to opportunity and ensuring more children experience the life-changing impact of summer camp.
