Free Peer-To-Peer Support For Cancer Fighters, Caregivers, And Survivors
The mission of Team Tony Cancer Foundation is to provide free peer-to-peer support and resources to cancer fighters, survivors, and caregivers so no one faces cancer alone in the Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte areas in Florida. Our one-to-one mentoring program matches a trained volunteer cancer survivor with a recently diagnosed cancer patient or someone caring for someone with cancer who is in need of support, encouragement, and inspiration. We also offer financial assistance to cancer fighters who participate in our peer mentoring program and have incurred medical costs related to their cancer treatment or recovery. After having survived brain cancer when he was given two years to live in 2003, Tony McEachern founded Team Tony Foundation in recognition of the love and emotional support he received from other cancer survivors during his fight with cancer.
