Provides Emotional And Practical Support To Pediatric Cancer Patients And Their Families
The Dragonfly Foundation (TDF) provides emotional and practical support to pediatric cancer patients and their families during and after cancer treatment. TDF connects Dragonfly families to each other in the community, offers programs that enhance quality of life, and partners with local children’s hospitals. From providing free toys and entertainment tickets to gas and gift cards to psychosocial support, TDF seeks to increase well-being and decrease anxiety. Although surrounded by family and friends during her ten-year-old son’s fight with cancer, Christine Neitzke saw firsthand many other pediatric cancer patients and families with no support. She founded TDF so that no child or family would face pediatric cancer alone. Based in Cincinnati and expanding to Chicagoland, TDF has now served thousands of people.
