Thresholds is one of the oldest and largest community-based providers for people with mental health and substance use conditions in Illinois. We offer 30 innovative programs at more than 75 locations throughout Chicago, its suburbs, and the four surrounding counties. Our services include: assertive outreach, case management, housing, employment, education, psychiatry, group and individual therapy, primary care, substance use treatment, and research. Offering services in a community-based setting makes our programs more accessible and allows our staff and clients to work on skills, clinical interventions, and recovery for them to live independent lives in their own neighborhoods. Every year, Thresholds provides over 500,000 hours of care to more than 8,000 adults and youth.
