UNSUGARCOATED Media creates positive social change by empowering people struggling with adversity and challenges through honest, compassionate storytelling. To us, UNSUGARCOATED means talking honestly about the realities of one’s trauma and hardship. We use podcasting, print publication, live events, and digital media to produce powerful humanizing stories that inspire empathy and understanding, end isolation, and build community. After experiencing a multitude of traumatic events from homelessness to cancer to divorce, Aalia Lanius founded UNSUGARCOATED Media to help others overcome their own hardships and connect through creativity.
