Upwardly Global
Eliminating Employment Barriers For Immigrant And Refugee Professionals
Upwardly Global eliminates employment barriers so that immigrant and refugee professionals can restart their careers in the United States. About two million people in the United States have college degrees from their home countries but are unemployed or working far below their skill level. Upwardly Global helps these men and women integrate into the professional American workforce. After meeting an Iraqi engineer and a Bosnian surgeon who were workers at a poultry production plant, Jane Leu founded Upwardly Global to help immigrant and refugee professionals to regain their careers and contribute to the United States at their full potential. Today, Upwardly Global is a national organization and has helped more than 7500 immigrants and refugees to find full-time, professional work in their fields.
