Increasing Breast Cancer Awareness And Prevention In Wyoming
The mission of Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI) is to increase breast cancer awareness and prevention across Wyoming. The nonprofit raises funds that are then granted to Wyoming-only programs that meet one or more of four WBCI goals: 1) increase breast cancer education and awareness; 2) provide free screenings, diagnostic exams, and biopsies; 3) offer patient navigation services (nurse and financial navigators, transportation support, childcare help, etc.); and 4) support breast cancer survivors and families after treatment. Since its inception, WBCI has granted over $830,000 through more than 100 grants focusing on breast health.
