Counseling, Life Skills Training, And Support Services For Chicagoland Youth And Their Families
Youth Outreach Services (YOS) promotes the strengths and abilities of youth and families by providing community-based services that empower each to face life’s challenges with confidence, competence, and dignity. We focus on positive development through a variety of child welfare, counseling, juvenile justice, and prevention services to help overcome challenges such as child abuse, substance use, and homelessness. YOS’s goal is to make sure teens and their families have the resources they need to deal with and prevent issues that stand in the way of health and success. Originally founded by Reverend Stan Davis as an outreach program for neighborhood youth at a local church, YOS now serves about 4,000 youth annually in over 60 communities across Chicago and its western suburbs.
