TargetCancer Foundation (TCF) was recently featured on Boston 25 News for its gala to raise funds for lifesaving rare cancer research and treatments. TCF also fosters medical collaborations and raises awareness among scientists, clinicians, and patients. Founded by a rare cancer patient, TCF works closely with the patient community and other rare cancer advocacy organizations to promote community, scientific, and educational opportunities for patients and families facing a rare cancer diagnosis.

Project Onward is a nonprofit studio and gallery for artists with mental and developmental disabilities. Project Onward supports the professional development of artists with exceptional talents and challenges – ranging from autism to mental illness – and provides these artists with workspace, materials, professional guidance, exhibition opportunities, and access to markets to sell their work and advance their careers. NBC 5 Chicago recently covered the opening of their new ceramic studio.

 

The News With Shepard Smith TV story about Upwardly Global

Upwardly Global eliminates employment barriers so that immigrant and refugee professionals can restart their careers in the United States. About two million people in the United States have college degrees from their home countries but are unemployed or working far below their skill level. Upwardly Global helps these men and women integrate into the professional American workforce. Upwardly Global CEO Jina Krause-Vilmar and program alum Shahpur spoke to CNBC's "The News with Shepard Smith" for the one-year anniversary of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
