ABC News TV interview of Upwardly Global CEO

California-based UPWARDLY GLOBAL is a national nonprofit that eliminates employment barriers so immigrant and refugee professionals can restart their careers in the United States. Helping thousands of immigrants and refugees who have college degrees from their home countries but are unemployed or working far below their skill level in the United States, Upwardly Global helps these men and women to integrate into the professional American workforce. ABC NEWS recently interviewed Upwardly Global CEO Jina Krause-Vilmar about the increase of asylum seekers looking for help finding jobs in the Washington, D.C. area and the end of Title 42.

Newspaper article about Ballers & Bookworms

BALLERS & BOOKWORMS seeks to eliminate inequalities within interscholastic sports by providing free athletic training, academic support, and financial assistance to student-athletes in underserved communities. The nonprofit’s goal is that all student-athletes have the resources they need to thrive on the field, in the classroom, and anywhere life takes them. In January, THE COAST STAR featured the New Jersey-based nonprofit and highlighted its founding by two cousins who wanted to “level the playing field.”
