Illinois-based PILOT LIGHT partners with educators to teach students through and about food in everyday classroom subjects. This innovative approach makes food relevant and exciting for students and empowers teachers to consistently bring these meaningful connections to their classrooms and communities. Pilot Light recently welcomed a Chicago alderman to a preschool classroom so he could see food education firsthand. During the class, the kids learned about different kinds of fruit seeds in both English and Spanish, examined and described each one, and of course, did a taste test! A CLOZTALK tee helped the Pilot Light instructor look both professional for the alderman and approachable for the kids!
Michigan-based SHARE DETROIT is a one-stop shop to search for local nonprofits. You can find skill-based nonprofit volunteer opportunities, an easy link to donate money, and an online marketplace of nonprofit wish lists. During National Volunteer Week, Director of Nonprofit and Community Impact Karly Moore sat down with WXYZ-TV to talk about Share Detroit and how to find nonprofits near you. Even in just a quick glance at the TV, Karly’s CLOZTALK t-shirt clearly lets viewers know why she’s there and what she represents.
Illinois-based NORTHWEST CENTER AGAINST SEXUAL ASSAULT (NWCASA) is committed to empowering survivors and ending sexual violence through counseling, medical and legal advocacy, a crisis intervention hotline, professional training, sexual abuse prevention education, and community activism. NWCASA Executive Director Carrie Estrada and her team recently went to the Illinois State Capitol to advocate (successfully!) for millions of dollars in sexual assault funding. The team looked uniform and on brand in their CLOZTALK hoodies and hats!
