SECOND CHANCE STUDIOS is a nonprofit digital media company that trains, mentors, and employs people who were formerly incarcerated in order to prepare them for one of the fastest-growing industries in the digital era – new media (audio and video production, social media, and podcasting). The nonprofit’s Media Fellowship program merges the search for employment by returning citizens with the industry growth and employment opportunities in the digital media space. Program participants, as well as the nonprofit’s founder and CEO, recently spoke to CBS TV NEW YORK.

Brilliant Detroit creates success for kids and families by building neighborhood hubs that provide a safe space for coordinated programs that address education, health, family support, and community building. By transforming abandoned houses into these neighborhood hubs designed with, for, and by neighbors, Brilliant Detroit’s community hubs provide unique offerings tailored to the community, such as tutoring sessions, exercise and nutrition classes, financial literacy programs, parent leadership and support groups, community gardens, etc.
