California-based BLUE HERON FOUNDATION provides college scholarships and mentorship for vulnerable youth in Romania and Moldova. The nonprofit pays their tuition, covers fees for courses such as driving lessons and English as a second language, and pairs these students with mentors who serve as guides and sources of encouragement during their college years. This Blue Heron board member is looking super fly in his CLOZTALK trucker cap while visiting New York City.
Michigan-based ELE’S PLACE offers peer support for grieving children and teens after the death of a loved one. Each week, hundreds of grieving kids find a warm and welcoming place to meet new friends who really understand how they feel in age-appropriate, peer-support group programs. When this proud Ele's Place team member visited Provo, Utah, she couldn’t walk by a mural of hearts – closely resembling the hearts in the logo on her CLOZTALK hoodie – without stopping to take a beautiful pic!
Illinois-based POLYMATH UNIVERSITY is an innovative new university developing leaders through apprenticeships and a hybrid model for a debt-free college degree. During their three years at this hybrid remote and in-person university, students develop as polymaths (defined as a problem solver with wide-ranging knowledge) through a three-major degree, and they work as apprentices with partner organizations. While at a recent CLOZTALK partner meetup, the nonprofit’s founder sported a CLOZTALK polo shirt, looking awesome from the front and back!
